The new year has just begun and the next convention is already coming ahead.
This time 4FO and Fraunhofer
IDMT present their innovative Potato
System from 25th to 29th January 2004 at the most exciting music business
forum, the so called 38th Midem
in Cannes (France). Once again music professionals from around the world will
come together, meet their partners, make new contacts, promote products and
share information and expertise on the latest trends and technical innovations,
not to mention the showcases, parties and events. Among the tough issues
of the convention will also be internet piracy and illegal music downloading,
which is on top of discussions right now; including Apple's Eddy Cue and Roxio/Napster's
Chris Gorog set as star speakers. Offering copyright protection, online distribution
solutions as well as selling and reselling systems for MP3, it’s been a logical
step for 4FO to present the Potato System here, too. As consistent has it
been to join our micro-payment system Paybest
with the Potato-System, so to facilitate the legal paid music download via the
Internet. Cooperating with 4FO, a website named Dorfdisco.de
from Berlin is just starting to offer a selling and reselling download service
for MP3s right now. Earning money with downloaded music files can get started
for all!
